Mob Psycho 100 Season 2 has been officially announced by Studio Bones, and it will air next year. All of the popular characters including Kageyama Shigeo, ReignenArataka, Dimple, Ritsu and the others will return to the TV screens. The only thing that remains questionable is whether the TV adaptation will cover the manga series and finish off the story or take it in a slightly different direction.
Mob Psycho 100 manga series commenced in 2012, and it ended in December 2017. The first season covered the events to Chapter 50 of Volume 6. The manga story ends with Chapter 101, and we are not sure how many episodes will be featured in the upcoming season. It is unlikely that the remainder will be put in 12 or 13 episodes, but the pace could always be modified.
Mob Psycho Season 2 Release Date
Although the Mob Psycho 100 Season 2 was scheduled for January of the upcoming year, the exact premiere date in Japan still remains unknown. As soon as we find out, we will let you know, so keep following us for more information.
In March 2018, director Yuzuru Tachikawa announced that nothing would change in the upcoming season in terms of staff members. Crunchyroll streamed the first season of the show, and Funimation produced the English subtitles, and this will most likely remain the same.
Speaking of Funimation, they have attempted to release simuldubs recently, as they wanted to deliver English dub on the same day when the Japanese version is offered. That could be the case with mob Psycho 100 Season 2, which is great news for all the fans. Meanwhile, the live-action Netflix show is also available, and it takes the story in a different direction.
