Jumanji 3 Confirmed – We Get Another Family Movie with Dwayne Johnson

2019Movie News

Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle was a massive hit when it arrived in December 2017. The film grossed more than $884 million on a $100 million budget. The last movie was inspired by the 1995 kid classic in which Robin Williams played the key role, but the new film brought the new atmosphere and energy to the table.

Jumanji 3 – When What?

Inspired by a major success, Jumanji 3 is going to be made. Currently, the film hasn’t even reached the early stage of development, and there is barely any information, but here is what we know so far about the sequel.

Jumanji 3 Cast

Considering that this film will be connected to the previous one, most of the cast and filmmaking team is going to remain the same. Already confirmed is Dwayne Johnson and so far he is the only one. However, Kevin Hart, Karen Gillan, and Jack Black are also going to return, but we are just waiting for the confirmation.

Supporting Cast

According to Deadline, the other characters will make a comeback as well. Among supporting cast, we will once again watch Nick Jonas, Alex Wolff, Madison Iseman, Bobby Cannavale, Marc Evan, Missi Pyle, Ser’Darius Blain, Morgan Turner, Colin Hanks, Marc Evan Jackson and Maribeth Monroe.

Who’s the Crew?

Currently, Scott Rosenberg and Jeff Pinkner, who wrote the script for the previous film are in talks to return for the next installment and so is the director, Jake Kasdan. They will be joined by producer Matt Tolmach.

The Plot

Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle finished without any cliffhangers which means that there is not much to build on. At the end of the previous film, the Jumanji game got destroyed by the four friends, but apparently, this will not be the end of Jumanji. It is too early to talk about the plot of the movie, but the writers will have to find a way to attach Jumanji 3 to the previous film and connect the stories, which will not be an easy task.

Jumanji 3 Release Date

Jumanji 3 is going to be released in December 2019, probably around Christmas, just like it was the case with Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle.
