A well-known book publisher Atlantic Monthly Fresh announced the release of the new “The Curse of Oak Island” book on 11th of December this year. The book’s official name is “The Curse of Oak Island: The Story of the World’s Longest Treasure Hunt” and it includes unique access to the Lagina brothers, who are also the main protagonists of the TV reality show with the same name by History Channel.
The author of the book is Randall Sullivan, a three-time Pulitzer nominee and ex-journalist in the Rolling Stone, the Washington Post, the Guardian and well-known magazines such as Esquire and Wired. He has already published two books, one about Michael Jackson, and the other about murders of American rap musicians Tupac Shakur and Notorious B.I.G. He realized Oak Island’s mysterious story might be a potential book material while he was writing an article about it for the Rolling Stone.
The publisher said that Sullivan has been researching this subject since 2004. and that he has inspected many sources nobody else has. Among those sources are also Rick and Marty Lagina, the famous brothers who have been digging all over the Island for years. The book covers the story about the potential treasure on the Oak Island in Nova Scotia, Canada, from 1795. until today. The author made a successful effort to differentiate facts and fiction in all the information he collected about 220-year long treasure hunting in the Island’s well known “Money pit.” This pit has been a matter of public interest since its discovery, and not even extensive drilling, excavation with heavy machinery, diving and underwater filming succeeded to discover its mysteries. Rick Lagina considers the Oak Island to be a matter of endless theoretical possibilities. His words have apparently found a partial fulfillment in the new season – in the trailer, it is shown to be found gold, an enigmatic underground hole, and an archaic structure, probably of Roman origin.
