A post-apocalyptic drama heavily relying on martial arts elements features a world ruled by feudal barons, each commanding an army of their loyal warriors, overseeing a general population of farmers and workers.

The wars between various factions are quite common, with the side serving of spying and assassination attempts. Each baron jealously holds to their own territory, guarding it against the ambitious and greedy neighbors.
Their world is surrounded by Badlands, a no-go territory filled with marauding bandits and crime lords. This where Sunny, the main character, is trying to escape from his bondage and create a life of freedom for his son Henry.

The cast consists of Daniel Wu, Eleanor Matsuura, Stephen Lang, Sherman Augustus, Babu Ceesay, Orla Brady, Aramis Knight, Emily Beecham, Ally Ioannides, Lorraine Toussaint, Ella-Rae Smith, Lewis Tan, Dean-Charles Chapman, and Nick Frost.

The third season of the show saw a sharp decline in viewership. The average rating of 0.36 in the 18-49 demographic and 1.09 million viewers is 45% less compared to season two.

These are bad news for any show, but Into the Badlands is still performing fairly well, maybe just enough to be renewed for the fourth season.
AMC hasn’t made any announcements yet regarding the fate of the show, but if the trend continues downward, it would be hard to imagine the network’s executives making a positive decision.
